Harry Potter Robes–A Different Halloween Costume, quidditch

Harry Potter robes are worn by members of the Gryffindor House, at Harry Potters Hogwarts school to show their membership in this house.  They  consist of a long  black robe which has deep red lining, with an attached hood. The crest of Harry’s Gryffindor house is emblazoned on the front chest of the robe and shows a gold colored lion rampant placed on a red background. This is the ancient heraldic symbol of bravery, courage, chivalry, and daring which are the characteristics of the Gryffindor house.

The other Hogwarts School houses each have their own distinctive robes. You have the choice of which of these robes you will wear at Halloween. Harry Potter Robes make a great looking and  popular costume for Halloween. They are really practical and warm for a cold October evening .

Quidditch is a game played by teams of wizards from all over the world.

The Quidditch robe worn by them is an ankle length robe in bright crimson red with a yellow lining. The game of Quidditch is a fictional sport invented by author J.K.Rowling. It is a very fast moving game which is played by two teams each of which has seven wizards who are mounted on flying broomsticks. The game consists of throwing the quaffle, which is a type of ball, through three successive hoops meanwhile attempting to grab the Golden Snitch. The team which captures the Golden Snitch wins 150 points. The game continues till the golden snitch has been caught and may last for several days or  may even go on for weeks.

If you want to dress as a Hogwarts school teacher or professor, the robe is a necessity. For instance as Professor Dumbledore, you would wear a long robe of any color. However, Dombledore’s robe has a lovely design which consists of knitting with some fancy stones worked into it.

If you want to be any of the other Hogwarts teachers such as McGonagall, Severus or Trelawney, wearing a long flowing plain black robe will be just fine.

To be a true wizard the right accessories will help a lot. Having a magic wand in your hand is a good example of this.. Another essential piece of equipment is the magic broomsticks that the Hogwarts students use during the Quidditch tournaments. If you  decide that you want to be Harry Potter, a pair of round glasses is necessary and also the z shaped scar on the face. Girls can  definitelyspice up the appearance of their costume by sporting some dark eye makeup.

The Harry Potter books and movies are one of the great writing feats of the 21st century. Millions of fans both children and adults are fascinated by this amazing imaginary world which author J.K.Rowling has so vividly brought to life. The motion pictures are a huge success and really brought to life the characters and stories of the Harry Potter books. If you wear a Harry Potter robe at Halloween or at your next fancy dress party, during the rest of the year, you will be recognised by the scores of  Harry Potter fans wherever you go.

Harry Potter robes signifying different houses in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are perfect for Halloween guise.
