Start The Party Right With Great Harry Potter Invitations And Party Supplies

Article by Gail Leino

When the first book of this now famous wizard Harry Potter came to light, the kids soon started to flock to read the book and the entire series of books that came after. This is a great chance then to send out a challenge, to send out Harry Potter invitations to not only participate in the reading, but the party as well. The design of the invitations could include such things as; pictures of books, a broom stick, a cauldron, the words “Harry Potter”, “reading challenge” and party. The the details of the reading challenge like; how long it will last, when it starts, what the winners receives or the top five for each group. The final details of the invitations should include when the party is being held, where, time of the party and other details, plus all who participate are invited.

The invitations sent will help kick off the start to the challenge, but party supplies will be needed when the time gets closer for the Harry Potter party. One thing to remember is that all who are involved are winners as getting kids to read books for the love of reading is competing with video games, sports, after school, out of school activities, daily life and many other activities.

Planning ahead with Harry Potter invitations and party supplies will prevent stress later. There are many ideas for decorations, party favors, and effects that can be found in the books themselves. The first would be doing a decor based on a old fashion book store, second would be diagon alley as it has numerous shops with windows. To setup the first the party supplies are going to include such things like; real books preferable old leather bound books, book shelves, wall paper designed to look like book shelves full of books. A ladder for use to reach higher placed books, mixing various components to bring the entire event to a close. Other ideas are bound to come to mind later, so keep gathering the supplies as they are decided upon.

A great scene in the films in Diagon Alley, and some of the design for the party can take ideas from this scenery. This location represents the main shopping area that is mentioned in the books. The supplies will focus on window dressings for the various shops such as; the book store, then there’s a pet store referred to as familiar store, also, the bank, robes and stationary places as well. Each will need its own supply list to make them come to life as someone moves through out the party. Some are easier then others as for an example a places that sells wands should have wands there and place for robes would have robes available.

Mrs. Party… Gail Leino gives her two cents worth on fashion and entertaining. Plus, she generously provides information on free party games, activities, and party supplies. Use her tips and ideas for an awesome celebration.

Family Christmas gift ideas. Some economical shopping tips.

Article by John Viscido

So here we are, the summer has only just really finished and we find ourselves heading towards Christmas, with less than ninety days left before the big day. Doesn’t it get more and more difficult as the years roll by , to think of interesting gifts for your family? I know that when we open up our presents there is always that traditional smile as we find out what we have got, but maybe there are some good ideas we can have a look at that will make that smile a bit wider, and a little less forced.

Firstly, why not take all of the hassle out of the Christmas rush by buying your gifts online. There are tremendous advantages such asOften gifts are much cheaper online as you are buying from a wholesaler and not a high street retailer.

The online gift shops, will usually send free of charge, and will gift wrap the present and include a message written by you, to your loved ones.

Online is so much easier that traipsing around the shops, and then lugging lots of gifts home, buying wrapping paper, sticky tape, and those little message notes which you invariable forget to stick on.

For mum and dad this year I would strongly go with the flow and buy an Amazon kindle. This kills two birds with one stone, as once you have bought someone the electric book reader, you are able to buy him or Ebooks for their next Birthday present. If you don’t know what a kindle is, then where have you spent the last couple of years? The kindle is at the forefront of the EBook revolution and is definitely the future as far as buying and reading books is concerned.

So what about the children? Well, there is always one of the new game-stations to buy if hey haven’t already got one. If they have , then simply buy the game to go with it. Harry Potter games and toys are all the rage since the last book and film have been released, and if you check out some Harry Potter sites, you will be amazed at the diversity of gifts on offer for all ages. From invisibility cloaks to board games. Traditionally for the younger children, Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends can provide your children with hours of traditional Sodor Island fun.

Christmas is a great time of the year, and is a time for giving, But if you shop early then you can give yourself the gift of a little time for yourself.
