Live The Magic With The Harry Potter Book Series

Just recently it has been one of the most significant weeks in cinema history with the release of the first part of the last Harry Potter movie. All previous box office records are expected to be smashed from the opening weekend of The Deathly Hallows Part I, with this predicted to be beaten again with the release of part II in 2011. However with the recent hype of the new movies it is easy to forget where all the magic was originally conjured up.

It was 1997 when the first Harry Potter book was published by Bloomsbury, from the day it reached our shelves it was an instant hit, winning countless awards and making J.K Rowling a household name. The novels follow the teenage years of a young wizard called Harry Potter and his life growing up at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The stories tell of him trying to overcome his enemies and to attempting to defeat the evil Lord Voldemort who killed his parents when Harry was a baby. The books follow Harry and friends through their progression of school up until they graduate, the themes include coming of age, fantasy, love and death.

Over the years with the gradual release of the seven books the Harry Potter series has provided significant financial success for Rowling and the Harry Potter franchise, this success has made Rowling the first and so far only billionaire author. The books have sold over 400 million copies worldwide and been translated into 67 different languages. Harry Potter has brought a lot of imagination to children and adults alike with many growing up with the main characters Harry, Ron and Hermione. This is why it is not surprising why many people love the books and will spend so much investing into the merchandise of the Harry Potter franchise. The storyline has not only captured the imagination of the children worldwide but has produced a lot of positive press surrounding the books with many people suggesting that it has encouraged a lot more young children to take up reading.

If you want to be a part of the magic and own your own Harry Potter books there are plenty of online book stores that sell the books at great prices, whether you want to buy the whole series or just one, Harry potter will take you on a journey through the world of witchcraft and wizardry that will set your imagination alight.

National Bestseller Harry Potter Book Series #6 Now Available at Cbbooksdistribution.com

(PRWEB) July 20, 2005

Harry Potter Book Series #6 availabe at Cbbooksdistribution.com. C & B Books Distribution, Inc. is a leading retail bookstore online and is happy to announce J. K. Rowling’s bestselling Harry Potter new book release. Consumer may visit our online bookstore at Cbbooksdistribution.com to view our complete list of books and order any of the series of Harry Potter books. After months of anticipation and wild speculation about the identity of the Half-Blood Prince, numerous bombshells and incredible plot twists in the sixth, ever-darkening installment of J. K. Rowling’s bestselling Harry Potter saga will leave readers as shocked and stunned as they are utterly satisfied.

As the novel begins, a “grim mood” has fallen over the country. The minions of Lord Voldemort (a.k.a. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named) continue to grow as his evil spreads. The Ministry of Magic has stepped up security everywhere, and as Harry enters his sixth year at Hogwarts, he begins to see himself — and everyone around him — in a different, more discerning, light. With rumors swirling about Harry being the prophesied “Chosen One,” he begins taking private lessons from Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore.

As Dumbledore prepares Harry for his destined clash with Voldemort by revealing jaw-dropping insights into the Dark Lord’s past — who his parents were, what happened after he left Hogwarts, and more — Harry also struggles to uncover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince, the past owner of a potions textbook he now possesses that is filled with ingenious, potentially deadly, spells. But Harry’s life is suddenly changed forever when someone close to him is heinously murdered right before his eyes.

With only one book to go before the series’ projected conclusion, Rowling masterfully sets the stage for what will surely be an epic battle to end all battles. The chess pieces are all in place for a magic-powered endgame that will be as thrilling as it is bittersweet. Paul Goat Allen

FROM THE PUBLISHER

The war against Voldemort is not going well; even Muggle governments are noticing. Ron scans the obituary pages of the Daily Prophet, looking for familiar names. Dumbledore is absent from Hogwarts for long stretches of time, and the Order of the Phoenix has already suffered losses.

As in all wars, life goes on. Sixth-year students learn to Apparate — and lose a few eyebrows in the process. The Weasley twins expand their business. Teenagers flirt and fight and fall in love. Classes are never straightforward, though Harry receives some extraordinary help from the mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

So it’s the home front that takes center stage in the multilayered sixth installment of the story of Harry Potter. Here at Hogwarts, Harry will search for the full and complex story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort — and thereby find what may be his only vulnerability.

FROM THE CRITICS

Jabari Asim – The Washington Post

The journey from child to adult is tough enough for ordinary mortals, but the trip has been unusually hazardous for the world-famous wizard-in-training. Rowling shepherds her hero’s arduous trek to maturity with her customary grace and good humor, though she has infused her story with more bone-cracking and blood-spattering than may be tolerable for many of the young readers who have followed Harry’s adventures so far.

Michiko Kakutani – The New York Times

… the darkest and most unsettling installment yet … It is a novel that pulls together dozens of plot strands from previous volumes, underscoring how cleverly and carefully J. K. Rowling has assembled this giant jigsaw puzzle of an epic … the achievement of the Potter books is the same as that of the great classics of children’s literature, from the Oz novels to The Lord of the Rings: the creation of a richly imagined and utterly singular world, as detailed, as improbable and as mortal as our own.

J. K. Rowling latest Harry Potter book is receiving rave reviews from around the country. You may log on to http://www.cbbooksdistribution.com today to order your copy. C & B Books is one the fastest growing online bookstores in the United States of America.

Harry Potter: The Hit Series

Harry Potter has found his way into the hearts of millions worldwide. The character created by British author J.K. Rowling began gaining popularity since his introduction back in 1997. Since then, six other books were written and all of them became major motion pictures. 450 million copies of the books have been sold as of June 2011. The books have been translated into 67 different languages.

The book series is about a young wizard named Harry Potter. He is an orphan who is forced to live with his unruly Aunt and Uncle who took him in after his parents died. They are extremely cruel to him and never treat them the same as they treat their own son. Harry Potter’s life changes significantly when he finds out that he is a wizard. He is destined for great things and is faced with vast responsibilities.

Along with two friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, Harry Potter encounters lots of adventure. The series features mythical creatures like dragons, werewolves, mermaids, trolls, giants, and many more. The three of them attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn how to use magic.

Harry soon learns that everyone knows his name and that he is the key to defeating the most powerful dark wizard, Lord Voldemort. Lord Voldemort was responsible for the death of his parents which Harry witnessed as an infant. His parents did not want to use their magic for evil so Lord Voldemort killed them. He tried to kill Harry as well but failed only leaving him with a small lightning shaped scar on his forehead. Lord Voldemort knew that one day Harry would try to defeat him and that he was the only one that stood in the way of world domination.

J.K. Rowling wrote seven books in the series. The books are titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Each book takes place in one year of Harry’s training at Hogwarts.

The Harry Potter book series is enjoyed by individuals of all ages and in many different countries. It was an instant hit and has been made into everything from a lunch box to a theme park attraction.

If you haven’t heard about Harry Potter, where have you been hiding?  Harry Potter is a character created by the brilliant writer J.K.Rowling, and first came known to us in 1997. 7 books later and with nearly 500 million copies sold, there must be something pretty special about them.  Each book became a major film production which all broke box office records and the books were translated into 67 different languages. The seven books are titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.

So for those who have been in a coma for the past 14 years or have lived under a stone,  the series is about a young wizard named Harry Potter.  Sadly the story begins in his home where he is an orphan and lives with his Aunt and Uncle in a cupboard under their stairs.

He is treated pretty badly and life isnt great for the young harry.  His life takes serious change when he finds out his is a wizard and attends the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn how to use magic.

With two great friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, Harry encounters lots of adventure with some fabulous mythical creatures like dragons, trolls, werewolves, and to name just a few. It isn’t long before Harry learns that is he quite a famous wizard and the is the key to defeating the most powerful dark wizard Lord Voldemort.  He learns that Lord Voldemort was responsible for the death of his parents because they didn’t wasn’t to use their magic for evil. At the time he tried to kill Harry but he failed leaving him with a lightening scar on his forehead.

The first movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone or Sorcerer’s Stone, viewers get completely drawn into the world of wizardry.  The Hogwarts school itself is an amazing spectacle.  The rooms tend to move around as do the stairs including the grand staircase. The pictures on the wall are like little movies as they move and talk to you. To get to the Hogwarts school you need to take the Hogwarts express which is boarded from Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross station in London.

The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher. I am delighted to have a second publishing home in Little, Brown, and a publishing team that will be a great partner in this new phase of my writing life,” Rowling said it a statement (E! News, 2/23/12).
