San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 21, 2009

Every year around late September and early October, everyone from kids to adults always ask the same question. “What should I be for Halloween?” For the past six years, MyHalloweenCostumes.com has been compiling costume ideas to help such folks. The movie blockbusters of Spring and Summer 2009 are guaranteed to be very popular for both kids and adults in addition to the Oscar winners from 2008. Recent events like the new US President and the loss of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson are also great places to start getting good costume ideas from.

With movies in minds, here are some of the most popular costume ideas of 2009: Watchmen, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Other than movies, there is: Michael Jackson and Barack Obama. And the year-after-year favorites: any Disney character like Snow White and Little Mermaid. The complete list of costume ideas can be viewed at MyHalloweenCostumes.com web site.

All the costumes that are recommended can be purchased online from BuyCostumes.com, eBay.com, and Amazon.com, almost all at significant discounts from brick and mortar retailers. “BuyCostumes.com is the web’s most popular costume store,” said Nick Peters, Principal Partner at MyHalloweenCostumes.com. “The hottest costumes are snatched very early in September and October by regulars and seasoned buyers so get your orders in as soon as you decide on a costume theme or specific costume(s)”.

New this year, MyHalloweenCostumes.com has launched an iPhone-compatible web site for costume ideas. Post image for Pottermore Will Not Tweet Magical Quill Clues On Twitter

While the idea of tweeting the daily Magical Quill Challenge clues of which there are 7 on Twitter is appealing to me, Pottermore thinks otherwise.

If your looking for that all important Magical Quill clue to be tweeted if your following @pottermore on Twitter you’ll be disappointed. The people making the decisions behind Pottermore believe tweeting the Magical Quill Challenge clues would give Twitter people or tweeters an advantage.

This could be true as the viral nature of Twitter and tweeting could leave those seeking to find the clues by traditional means in the dust.

Pottermore will only post a tweet when a Magical Quill clue has been closed due to early access places allocated for that day being fully taken up.

Pottermore will also announce on their blog Pottermore Insider about the closing of the daily Magical Quill clues.

Pottermore’s Twitter account will also post daily tweets about questions or help concerning the Pottermore Magical Quill Challenge. The Twitter feed will be a great place to check for daily tweets throughout the Magical Quill Challenge period so be sure to follow this feed.

Tweets like today’s will contain links to articles on their blog detailing more information. For example, here are the last three tweets from Pottermore’s Twitter account from earlier today, U.S. time.

  • Day 1 of The Magical Quill challenge is over. There will be another clue tomorrow. More info. on http://bit.ly/oqeNjE
  • New on the Pottermore Insider: The Magical Quill – some questions answered http://bit.ly/pT0IdJ
